Performance Coaching at Nextmove
Matt Tribble is leading a new pillar of service into 2026 called Performance Coaching.

Naturally over the last 18 years we started as a pure physio company and would really be focused on assessment and treatment of MSK dysfunction and injury.

The culture of Nextmove has always been about Cause and where are these injuries coming from? Through this process and discovery we have learnt so much more about the holistic care of what people in our community are still lacking. Over arching this they need a coach. Not only a coach to resolve MSK issues but a coach to push them into new levels of training, recovery and reflection.

As Matt is a qualified physiotherapist you can use the performance coaching option and still benefit using your health care rebate.

This new service is more about injury prevention, lifestyle choices, ways to shift behaviours to improve goal setting, creating time and space to move differently and being mentored using frameworks that stick.

One of the specific areas Matt can offer as part of performance coaching is specialised strength and activation programs, flexibility programs and speed sessions including biomechanical running technique coaching.

Matt has taken performance coaching from the typical assessment room, into the gym and into the sporting arena. Matt will often train groups and individuals following assessment at nearby parks, schools and clubs as part of this new service.

Matt has also opened up a new youth program called the Nextmove Academy for up to 8 applicants. This is strictly via application only and for kids 12-17.
Benefits of Tailored Coaching

1
Individulisation
Each athlete receives a fully tailored training plan based on their body, movement patterns and goals, rather than a one-size-fits-all program. By learning correct technique, healthy training habits and injury-prevention strategies from a young age, athletes build strong foundations that set them up for long-term performance and confidence in their sport.
2
Accountability and Ownership
This program teaches athletes to take responsibility for their own progress by actively engaging in their tailored training plans. This is about the athletes learning to problem-solve and evolve their program, rather then just repeating their movements each week

3
Gaining a Mentor
Athletes will have a mentor they trust and can turn to whenever they need support, guidance or clarity. They’ll be able to have meaningful conversations, set goals, create plans and reflect on their progress together—helping them make better decisions and grow with confidence.
